Privacy Policy

Applies to the midnightapps.dev website · Last updated 16 August 2026

Short version. This is a static website. We do not run analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, or third-party embeds, and we set no cookies. We do not ask you for any information — there are no forms and no accounts. However, like every website, it has to be served by a host, and that host necessarily processes ordinary technical request data such as your IP address. The details are below.

1. Who this policy is from

This website is published by Midnight Holdings LLC, a United States limited liability company, which operates the mobile application studio Midnight Apps. In this policy, "we", "us", and "our" mean Midnight Holdings LLC.

Privacy questions and requests: legal@midnightapps.dev.

2. What this policy covers

This policy covers the public website at midnightapps.dev and its pages only.

It does not cover our mobile applications. Each Midnight Apps application has its own privacy policy describing the data that application handles, published with that application's App Store and Google Play listing and available inside the app. If you are looking for the privacy policy for a specific app, that is the document you want — not this one.

3. What we do not do

This site is a set of static HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files. Concretely, on this website we do not:

  • set cookies, or read cookies previously set by us;
  • use analytics of any kind — no Google Analytics, no privacy-preserving analytics, no page-view counters;
  • use advertising networks, retargeting, tracking pixels, or beacons;
  • build profiles, fingerprint browsers, or carry out automated decision-making;
  • embed third-party fonts, scripts, videos, maps, chat widgets, or social media buttons;
  • load any resource from a content delivery network or any domain other than this one;
  • operate contact forms, comment fields, newsletters, logins, or user accounts;
  • sell, rent, or share personal information for advertising or any other purpose.

The small amount of JavaScript this site uses runs entirely in your browser to open the mobile menu and fade sections in as you scroll. It sends nothing anywhere and stores nothing on your device.

4. Technical data processed by our host

This website is hosted on GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc. We do not operate our own web server. When your browser requests a page, that request has to reach GitHub's servers and content delivery network, which necessarily receive and may log ordinary technical information, including:

  • your IP address;
  • the date and time of the request;
  • the page or file requested and the response status;
  • the referring page, if your browser sends one;
  • your browser's user-agent string (browser and operating system).

GitHub processes this data to deliver the site and to maintain the security and integrity of its service — for example to detect abuse, denial-of-service traffic, and malicious requests. This is the normal, unavoidable byproduct of serving a page over the internet, and it happens whether or not a site runs analytics.

We do not receive, request, or have access to these server logs, and we do not use them to identify or track visitors. GitHub's handling of this data is governed by its own terms, described in the GitHub Privacy Statement and the GitHub Pages documentation.

5. Domain and DNS

midnightapps.dev is registered through a commercial domain registrar, which also provides authoritative DNS for the domain and email forwarding for our published addresses. Looking up this domain causes a DNS query to be handled by that provider and by whichever resolver your network or device uses. We do not receive query-level DNS data about individual visitors.

6. If you email us

The only way you can send us information through this website is by choosing to email one of our published addresses. If you do, we receive whatever your message contains: your email address, your name if you include it, and the content of what you write, along with the technical headers every email carries.

Mail sent to @midnightapps.dev addresses is delivered through the email forwarding service provided with our domain registration and then held in an ordinary commercial mailbox. Those providers process the message in transit and at rest as part of delivering it, under their own privacy terms.

We use what you send only to answer you and to keep a record of the matter. We keep correspondence for as long as it is useful for support history, legal, or accounting reasons, and then delete it. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not use your address for marketing.

Please do not send sensitive information by email. Ordinary email is not a secure channel. Do not send medical records, government identification numbers, passwords, or payment card details. If we need something sensitive to resolve your issue, we will tell you a safer way to provide it.

7. Links to other sites

Some pages link to sites we do not control, such as documentation published by GitHub, Apple, or Google. Following a link takes you to a service with its own privacy practices, and this policy stops at our boundary. We suggest reading the policy of any site you visit.

We use the limited information described above for these purposes only:

  • To deliver this website — the technical request data our host processes is necessary to send you the page you asked for.
  • To keep the site available and secure — our host uses the same data to defend against abuse.
  • To answer you — if you email us, we use your message to reply and to resolve your request.
  • To meet legal obligations — for example retaining correspondence where the law requires it, or responding to a lawful request.

Where privacy law requires a legal basis for processing, ours are our legitimate interest in operating a secure, functioning website and in responding to people who contact us, and compliance with legal obligations. We do not rely on consent for anything on this site, because there is nothing here to consent to.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of personal information a business holds about you, to obtain a copy of it, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.

In practice, the only personal information we hold from this website is email correspondence you chose to send us. If you would like us to tell you what we hold, correct it, or delete it, write to legal@midnightapps.dev from the address you contacted us with, and say what you would like us to do. We will respond within the time frame required by applicable law, and we may need to ask a question or two to confirm the request genuinely comes from you.

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under United States state privacy laws, and we have never done so.

Requests about data held inside one of our applications are handled under that application's privacy policy — email support@midnightapps.dev and tell us which app you mean.

10. Children

This website is a business and product information site intended for a general adult audience. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through it. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to legal@midnightapps.dev and we will delete it.

11. Visitors outside the United States

Midnight Holdings LLC is based in the United States, and the services that host this site, resolve its domain, and carry our email operate globally with infrastructure in the United States and elsewhere. If you visit this site or email us from outside the United States, the limited information described in this policy will be processed in the United States and in other countries where those providers operate, which may have different data protection rules than your own.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change how this website works — for example if we ever add a feature that processes information differently — we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top before that change goes live. We do not make changes retroactively. Because we keep no mailing list, there is no notification to subscribe to; this page is the notice.

13. How to contact us

Midnight Holdings LLC, operating as Midnight Apps

We are a small studio that handles correspondence by email rather than by post or telephone. If a matter genuinely requires a physical mailing address — for example service of formal legal process — write to legal@midnightapps.dev and we will provide the appropriate address for the entity.
