RemoteJobs Community and Reporting Rules

Applies to the RemoteJobs app · Last updated 8 September 2026

1. What you can report

You can report a job listing or an employer from the listing's detail screen — for example because the role is closed, the listing is inaccurate or a duplicate, it looks like a scam, it contains offensive or unlawful content, or it was posted without the employer's authority. RemoteJobs has no public comments, reviews or ratings; a report goes to us privately and is never published as an accusation against a named employer.

2. Report in good faith

Report what you actually believe to be true, and give enough detail for us to check it. Do not use reporting to attack a competitor, to pressure an employer, or as a way of sending bulk or automated complaints. Repeated bad-faith or spam reporting may result in your ability to report being restricted, and in other action under the Acceptable Use Policy.

3. What happens next

Every report is recorded and enters a staff review queue. A reviewer checks the listing and the employer, and the outcome may be that the listing is left as it is, flagged for closer scrutiny, held back from the catalogue, or removed — and, where a pattern emerges, that an employer or source is blocked. A report is one input to that decision, not an automatic removal. We do not routinely tell you the outcome of your report, and we do not share the identity of the person who reported something with the employer.

4. Urgent and legal matters

For anything involving an immediate risk to someone's safety, contact your local emergency services. For a copyright or trademark complaint use the Copyright and Trademark Notice; for a request to remove a listing or personal data, the Data Source and Removal Policy; for anything else, support@midnightapps.dev.
