RemoteJobs Sponsored Listing Disclosure

Applies to the RemoteJobs app · Last updated 8 September 2026

1. What sponsored means here

A sponsored placement is one an employer or partner has paid to promote. Where one appears it is labelled — as "Sponsored" or "Ad" — everywhere it is shown. At the time of writing RemoteJobs runs no paid placement programme, so you should not currently see sponsored job listings; this document describes how they would be handled and labelled if that changes.

2. Sponsorship never changes organic results

Payment does not buy a higher position in search results, a better match score, or the removal of a competitor. Sponsored placements are kept separate from the organic ranking rather than mixed into it, so the order of the listings you search is not for sale.

3. How placements would be selected

If a paid placement programme is introduced, the basis on which placements are sold and selected — and any limit on how many you see — will be described here before it goes live.

4. No endorsement, and the same screening

A sponsored listing is not an endorsement. It goes through the same publication review and scam screening as any other listing, and the Job Listing Disclaimer and the Employer and Third-Party Disclaimer apply to it in full.

5. Affiliate links are different

Commission we may earn when you buy a third-party product through the Remote Work Shop is covered by the Affiliate Disclosure, not by this document.
